We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Special Needs Teacher

to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support the development, inclusion, and well-being of children ages

6 months to 5 years

with diverse learning and developmental needs. This role requires a warm, patient, and creative educator who can adapt learning strategies to meet each child's unique strengths and challenges.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized learning and care plans for children with special needs. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and support professionals (e.g., therapists, ECEs, behavioral consultants) to ensure consistent support. Create inclusive, engaging, and sensory-friendly classroom environments. Monitor and document each child's developmental progress and provide regular updates to families. Use positive guidance techniques and emotional regulation strategies to support social and behavioral development. Modify activities to meet varying abilities and developmental levels. Ensure all health, safety, and licensing requirements are met at all times. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and center events.

Experience & Qualifications

Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification

required

; Special Needs Educator (SNE) or Infant/Toddler Certification

preferred

. Minimum

2 years of experience

working with children with special needs in an early learning or childcare setting. Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, and inclusive learning practices. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families. Excellent communication, observation, and documentation skills. Current First Aid & CPR certification. Up-to-date immunizations and clear criminal record check (vulnerable sector).

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
