Le role
Sectra entreprend un projet d'envergure pour mener les remplacements de PACS a travers le Canada. Nous visons a revolutionner les solutions d'imagerie medicale a l'echelle regionale et provinciale, en tirant parti de notre technologie de pointe pour ameliorer les soins aux patients et optimiser les flux de travail cliniques. En tant qu'ingenieur technique, votre role sera axe sur la conception, le deploiement et le soutien de systemes critiques qui contribuent a de meilleurs resultats cliniques.
Deploiement et configuration des systemes
Realiser de maniere autonome des installations et des configurations avancees des systemes d'imagerie d'entreprise Sectra, y compris les serveurs Windows, les clusters MS SQL Server AlwaysOn, Active Directory, et les environnements virtualises (VMware, Hyper-V).
Concevoir et mettre en oeuvre des deploiements complexes dans Microsoft Azure, y compris les transitions hybrides ou completes du local vers le cloud.
Engagement client et analyse des flux de travail
Mener des sessions de decouverte approfondies avec les administrateurs systemes des hopitaux, les radiologues et les utilisateurs cliniques afin de bien comprendre les flux de travail, les exigences techniques et les contraintes operationnelles.
Fournir des recommandations pour garantir une configuration optimale des solutions d'imagerie d'entreprise Sectra, en adequation avec les besoins cliniques et informatiques.
Integration et interoperabilite
Integrer de facon autonome les solutions Sectra avec les systemes d'information hospitaliers (SIH, RIS, DME, outils d'IA) en utilisant des protocoles standards tels que DICOM, HL7, IHE et des API personnalisees.
Resoudre des problemes d'interoperabilite avances, incluant le routage de donnees, le mappage HL7 et les problemes d'authentification entre systemes.
Depannage technique et escalade
Servir de point d'escalade pour les problemes techniques complexes, en effectuant des analyses des causes profondes et en mettant en oeuvre des actions correctives durables.
Maintenir une communication claire et continue avec les clients durant toutes les phases de resolution.
Mentorat et leadership technique
Offrir du mentorat, du soutien technique et une formation informelle aux ingenieurs techniques juniors.

The role
Sectra is embarking on a journey to lead PACS replacement projects across Canada. We aim to revolutionize healthcare imaging solutions across regions and provinces, leveraging Sectra's cutting-edge technology and expertise to enhance patient care and streamline medical workflows. As a Technical Engineer your role will focus on designing, deploying, and supporting critical systems that drive improved clinical outcomes.
System Deployment & Configuration
Independently perform advanced installation and configuration of Sectra enterprise imaging systems, including Windows-based servers, MS SQL Server AlwaysOn clusters, Active Directory, and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
Design and implement complex Microsoft Azure cloud deployments, including hybrid or full cloud transitions from on-premise environments.
Customer Engagement & Workflow Analysis
Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with hospital system administrators, radiologists, and clinical end-users to fully understand clinical workflows, technical requirements, and operational constraints.
Provide guidance to ensure optimal configuration of Sectra's enterprise imaging solutions aligned with both IT and clinical needs.
Integration & Interoperability
Independently integrate Sectra solutions with healthcare information systems (HIS, RIS, EMRs, and AI tools) using industry-standard protocols such as DICOM, HL7, IHE, and custom APIs.
Resolve advanced interoperability challenges, including data routing, HL7 mapping, and cross-system authentication issues.
Technical Troubleshooting & Escalation
Serve as a escalation point for complex technical issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.
Maintain clear, ongoing communication with customers during troubleshooting and resolution phases.
Mentorship & Project Leadership
Provide coaching, technical support, and informal training to lower-level Technical Engineers.
Act as a technical lead on deployments or internal initiatives, contributing to planning, coordination, and execution of project tasks.
Drive the successful completion of high-complexity implementation and support projects.

5 a 10 ans d'experience dans un environnement informatique dynamique.
Minimum de 3 a 5 ans d'experience pratique en soutien, deploiement ou integration de systemes TI dans le domaine de la sante.
Expertise approfondie des PACS, RIS, normes DICOM, HL7, profils IHE et interoperabilite des systemes de sante.
Maitrise avancee de l'administration de serveurs Windows, des clusters AlwaysOn de MS SQL Server et d'Active Directory.
Experience dans la gestion de plateformes de virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) et des environnements cloud (Microsoft Azure).
Connaissances approfondies des reseaux, des protocoles de securite, VPN et pare-feux dans un contexte TI en sante.
Maitrise des outils de script (PowerShell, Python ou Bash) pour l'automatisation et l'optimisation des systemes.
Experience prealable en service technique ou roles techniques orientes client requise.
Solides competences en resolution de problemes et capacite a gerer des situations complexes sous pression.

So are you a fit?
Experience leading technical project lifecycles, including planning, execution, and delivery.
Skilled in translating complex technical goals into actionable project plans, effectively guiding both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English (French is an asset).
A degree in computer engineering with strong academic performance, or equivalent.
5 - 10 years in a fast-paced IT environment.
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in healthcare IT support, deployment, or system integration.
Strong expertise in PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7, IHE profiles, and healthcare IT interoperability standards.
Advanced proficiency with Windows Server administration, MS SQL Server AlwaysOn clustering, and Active Directory.
Experience configuring and managing virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (Microsoft Azure).
In-depth knowledge of networking, security protocols, VPNs, and firewalls in a healthcare IT setting.
Proficiency in scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation and system optimization.
Prior experience in IT service desk support or customer-facing technical roles is required.
