We are currently looking for an upbeat and energetic individual who has experience tutoring Spanish Literature to high school students of different ages and cultures in a dynamic working environment after school.

Subject:

High School Spanish literature and IB Diploma Programme Self-taught Spanish Literature ELA

Duties:

Provide one-on one in person sessions with high school students Assess and adapt sessions to the students' strengths, weakness and learning style to develop learning strategies Monitor progress and adjust sessions as necessary Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes learning Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance and notes Communicate regularly with Coordinator on the progress of the students

Qualifications and Experience:

1-2 years experience teaching, tutoring or working with students Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Must Pass and maintain a Ministry criminal record check for working with vulnerable children
A Bachelor of Education and BC teaching Certificate an asset
Experience and familiarity with the BC Curriculum Able to communicate with students progress in a timely manner Professional, punctual and responsible A commitment to fostering

Compensation

$45.00-$60.00/hr dependant on experience, education and number of students Hours and days are dependent on needs of students
