Overview


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in language instruction, curriculum development, and utilizing learning technology to create engaging and effective lessons. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse student populations, including children and early learners, fostering their language skills in a supportive environment. Prior experience with classroom management, lesson planning, and working with students of various ages is highly valued. The Spanish Tutor will contribute to our mission of promoting literacy education and bilingual proficiency through innovative teaching methods.

Duties



Develop and implement comprehensive Spanish language curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels Utilize learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement Conduct tutoring sessions both in-person and virtually, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual student needs Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning atmosphere Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, writing skills, and cultural context Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student success Incorporate additional languages such as Mandarin, French, Japanese, or English into lessons when appropriate Adapt teaching methods for students with special education needs or early childhood education requirements

Experience



Proven experience working with children in classroom or tutoring settings, including preschool or early childhood education Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning for language instruction Experience with classroom management and engaging students across diverse age groups Familiarity with learning technology platforms used for remote or hybrid instruction Prior experience teaching literacy education, writing skills, or working with students with special needs is preferred Knowledge of additional languages such as Mandarin, French, Japanese, or English is a plus Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity and confidence in language acquisition
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 10 per week

Work Location: In person
