The Spa Practitioner will have a passion for excellence in guest service and a strong background in delivering exceptional spa experiences. They will be expected to function within a team environment and provide a world-class experience for our guests through a variety of treatments.

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate desired service behaviors in accordance with Relais and Chateaux expectations.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of spa services and products.
  • Responsible for client\'s comfort and meeting their needs while providing massage, facials, body treatments and esthetics.
  • Maintain proper use of equipment and products.
  • Ensure all areas of spa are clean and sanitized.
  • Participate in treatment training and skill development throughout the season.
  • Recommend appropriate home care and retail items with all clients.
  • Ensure treatment and change rooms are fully stocked daily.
  • Abide by treatment protocols and maintain consistency.
  • Wear spa uniform and name tag when on shift.
  • Ensure effective working relationships and clear communication is maintained with all colleagues and departments.
  • Adapts easily to change; works quickly and accurately under pressure, tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Exemplary customer service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations.
  • A calm, polite and composed demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Trustworthy with sensitive or confidential company information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, combination of sitting, walking, standing for extended periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling.
This is a seasonal position that works on site at the Resort in shift work rotations. Seeking a start date as soon as possible.
  • All staff are provided with complimentary single bedroom accommodations. Complimentary wifi, cable TV and internet calling provided in each staff room.
  • Complimentary meals, snacks and beverages provided from our Staff Kitchen
  • Shift work is required from April until October; comprised of 10 - 20 working days and 4 non-working working days, subject to change during peak season; employees are expected to be flexible in their scheduling to meet the needs of the business.
  • Water taxi transportation is provided to and from Campbell River for scheduled work shifts
  • Staff are required to leave the resort on their scheduled non-working days and are responsible for securing further transportation and accommodation thereafter.
  • Team Amenities on site include a staff lounge, fitness facility, hot tub, outdoor staff lounge area, access to trout ponds, hiking trails and Florence lake where a canoe and stand-up paddleboards are available for staff use.

  • We offer competitive wages, paid hourly, with opportunities for overtime, plus gratuities. Spa Practitioners are also paid treatment commissions and retail sales commissions as part of their overall compensation.
Description du profil:
  • Certificate of completion in recognized Massage and/or Esthetics Spa Practitioner program required
  • Minimum (1) year of experience as a spa practitioner or, esthetician
  • Thorough understanding of the operations of the spa; experience in a live-in resort environment is preferred.
  • High School Diploma required. Any additional education or experience in spa, health and wellness, hospitality or related fields would be an asset.
  • Yoga Teacher Training course (Minimum 200 hrs) and experience would be an asset.
  • Must be fluent in English, second language an asset.
  • First Aid & AED certificates are an asset.
