Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the executive chef, overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an opportunity to lead culinary initiatives in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment, emphasizing fine dining, catering, and food service management. The Sous Chef will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and team leadership.

Duties



Assist in menu planning and development to ensure innovative and high-quality offerings Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating for various service styles such as fine dining and catering Manage inventory control and food safety procedures to minimize waste and ensure compliance with health regulations Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment with strong leadership skills Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods Oversee dietary department requirements, accommodating special dietary needs with precision Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to safety standards Assist in catering events and large banquets, ensuring timely execution of all culinary components Support restaurant management in operational tasks related to food handling, inventory management, and food service

Requirements



Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities Supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential Extensive banquet experience and catering background preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Strong understanding of inventory management and control techniques Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead diverse kitchen staff effectively Experience in menu planning, food production, and kitchen management Background in the food industry with comprehensive culinary experience including cooking, food service management, and hospitality operations Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
