Job Overview


Currently we are looking for two kitchen staff members to join our team at our small french restaurant on Harbord street! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef as well as a Chef De Partie. The ideal candidates will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a key member of our restaurant, the Sous Chef will oversee some daily kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and support the head chef in creating innovative menus. The Chef De Partie will be responsible for working with the team, mantaining his/her own mise en place and be responsibly for the cleanliness of their station. These roles offers an exciting opportunity for someone with restaurant experience and a dedication to excellence in the food industry.

Duties



Assist in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation Oversee food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Manage food inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper storage procedures Support the development of new menu items and culinary techniques Serve as a leader during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders and excellent customer experience Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster teamwork and professional growth Collaborate with restaurant management to uphold service standards and operational goals

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices Extensive restaurant management knowledge including team management and hospitality skills Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication skills Experience with food handling, serving, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness Knowledge of the food industry trends and culinary techniques Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is required; hospitality background is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,500.00-$55,000.00 per year
