Genetec is currently looking for a motivated, engaged, and enthusiastic person to fill a Sous Chef position. Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, the candidate will be asked to provide support to the food service, in accordance with Genetec\xe2\x80\x99s philosophy and policies.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A day in the life of a Sous Chef:

Want to get a sense of what you\'ll be handling on a daily basis? Here\'s a brief overview of some of your key tasks.

• Participate in preparation and implementation of the daily menus
• Lead the team in the absence of the Executive Chef
• Collaborate in the lunch service.
• Consistency in the quality of the daily dishes
• Assure the proper rotation and labelling of all foodstuffs
• Follow the work methods and use the designated products and equipment in accordance with the safety, quality, hygiene and sanitation rules and standards in force

About you:

• Have 3 to 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a food service
• Know food hygiene and sanitation techniques
• Have an approach based on customer service, attention to detail, good communication and tact
• Have a great sense of responsibility
• Show autonomy, punctuality, dynamism, and good judgment
• Have stress resistance and be in good physical condition
• Show creativity and knowledge of world cuisines

Great if you have:

• Hold an attestation or a diploma in the cooking field (secondary or college level)
• Have MAPAQ Food Handler certification
