Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and the food industry, with experience in restaurant kitchen environments. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food service, and leading a team of cooks to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient operations. Oversee daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and cooking processes. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation practices within the kitchen. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and quality presentation of dishes. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Implement and maintain kitchen policies and procedures to enhance productivity. Participate in staff meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and team performance.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation within the food service or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
