We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. 8+ month contract with the possibility for permanent status. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and maintaining a positive work environment. Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure exceptional dining experiences.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and portion control guidelines while maintaining consistency in quality.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive working atmosphere that encourages teamwork and communication.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in managing kitchen schedules, ensuring adequate staffing during peak hours.
Skills
Proven experience in food service within a restaurant or culinary setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
