QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Have a basic understanding of the Back-of-House operations

Formal culinary training
Previous restaurant experience in a managerial role
Extensive Food and beverage knowledge
Restaurant Industry knowledge
Ability to work well with others
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
Demonstrated ability to organize efficient work schedules, delegate tasks and work effectively under pressure to achieve objectives.

High School Diploma with basic math skills is required.
Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of joining.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50lbs.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a responsible, friendly team player.
Work with the executive chef to create well designed menus that fall in line with our restaurant's concept and policy
Lead the kitchen team in times of the Executive Chef's absence
Provide training and guidance to all kitchen staff members, including, but not limited to line cooking, food preparation, and dishwashers
Oversee and organize kitchen stock ingredients
Ensure a first-in, first-out rotation and inventory system, ensuring all products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance, and purchasing
Manage food and product ordering by keeping organized records of inventory, and order sheets in order to minimize waste
To help the Executive Chef hire and train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
Works well with the head chef to ensure excellent food quality, kitchen efficiency, and organization
Maintain great communication with FOH to ensure service is smooth
Have a passion for great food and real ingredients.
Understand and follow prep charts, recipes, checklists, and other guidelines
Demonstrate Food Safety - understanding and adherence
Maintaining a clean kitchen
Work quickly and efficiently.
Communicate between shifts and with managers and teammates
Provide assistance on line daily. You will be cooking.

Maintain composure and professionalism at all times, ensuring kitchen personnel are supported and prepared for peak hours.
Responsible for daily opens/ closes which include daily/weekly cleaning duties, prepping equipment for open/close, and ensuring kitchen is ready.
