We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, with proven leadership skills. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
Assist in supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
Manage food preparation tasks, including ingredient selection, portioning, and presentation
Support the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies
Lead by example in serving customers with professionalism and hospitality
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensure all equipment is properly maintained
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations
Supervising experience within a food service or hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
Experience in restaurant management or food industry preferred
Demonstrated expertise in kitchen management, food service, and hospitality practices
Ability to serve guests professionally while maintaining high standards of quality and service
