We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. This position requires strong leadership abilities, a commitment to hospitality, and a deep understanding of food industry standards. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and upholding health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and quality in all dishes.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all meals meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.
Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimizing waste.
Assist with bartending duties when required, ensuring excellent service for guests.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
