You will be asked to speak for, advocate and demonstrate value for architectural best practices, standards, frameworks and principles. You are expected to be the subject matter expert of an architectural domain and will be consulted to establish common technology visions for the digital department. Effectively working across development teams and across English and French services, leading and facilitating collaborative analysis, solutioning, review and technical decisions.Providing consultation, assessment and optimization on architectural design that considers: functional integrity, scalability, resilience, stability and operational excellence. Able to balance business needs, strategies with long term growth and health of the digital ecosystem.Define, audit and help implement architectural standards and patterns for common application concerns. Building foundational frameworks and technologies, and driving its adoption. Ensure designs adhere to regulatory, governance and certification requirements defined by the industry and governing bodies.Participating in the discovery and ideation phase of large initiatives like harmonized member data management. For instance assisting in build or buy decisions, and providing technology and architectural recommendations.Enabling membership features across our products and publishing platforms (web, app, connected devices) to support audience engagement and subscription goals. Deliver solutions that cover broad architectural domains including data models (conceptual and logical), controls, non-functional and operational designs.Help define technological vision of identity and access management including authentication, authorization, login and user management. Influence the future of CBC\xe2\x80\x99s audience membership experience, including user profile, preferences and signal data, including how these data will be used.What you bring to our team:Three or more years of experience in a senior development, technical leadership or architecture role. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership for cross team architectural domains and for medium to enterprise scale solutions.Experienced in designing and delivering complex software solutions that are performant, scalable and resilient.Proven ability to develop broad knowledge on systems design, integrations and technologies. Well versed in architectural principles and key concepts. Track record of promoting good architectural design and development practices.Experienced in driving department strategies through architecture and innovations. A forward thinking technologist who maintains close awareness of emerging technologies and their potential application for the products.Possess a degree (BA, BSc) or diploma in a Software Development, Science or Engineering related discipline, delivered by a recognized learning institution.Experienced in data management: ingestion, integration, governance, modeling, storage. Technical expertise in microservice architecture and other data integration patterns, API and data query technologies (e.g. GraphQL)Solid understanding of data architecture and data management principles (e.g. ACID). Familiarity in databases and their usages (e.g. NoSql vs. Relational)Knowledgeable in identity management, including authorization, authentication standards and methods (e.g. OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO), authorization flows, regulatory compliance, platforms and services (e.g. Auth0, Azure AD). Appreciation of operational concerns for enterprise IAM initiatives, like data migration, unified user experience, user support.Leadership experience in working across teams and managing interests of stakeholders. Able to communicate and represent technical issues to non-technical members of the extended team.Exposure to working with infoSec and privacy teams to make sure membership, user services and data are secured and protected.Assets:Experience in API infrastructure and technologies (e.g. APIM, Kong), especially security policies and best practices.Experience in Azure AD / B2C configurations.Special consideration given to candidates who are bilingual (English and French).Experience in strategic planning, technology roadmaps and costing.A problem solver and good communicator who takes ownership of the work they do, see problems as opportunities, and share new ideas.
