What You'll Do?

As a site surveyor you will perform initial site audit to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data on proposed customers' property to the Design team to prepare a solar system design and provide permit-ready documents needed to facilitate the installation of solar systems.

Responsibilities:

Travel to project sites to obtain the necessary information to complete technical design documents for a solar system Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools, including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, drone and other related equipment Upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit ready documents no later than midnight on the day of the Site Audit Assess shading from trees, buildings, and other obstructions Follow Standard Operating Procedures for Site Audit to ensure a smooth handoff between departments Provide and maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle Develop relationships with the sales team, design professionals, and subcontractors to support the business activities Gathers detailed structural data on multiple types of buildings Identifies issues on homes that may interfere with our installations or the production Gathers all electrical data required by the company All other tasks and duties reasonably associated with this position.
Requirements:

A minimum of one years' experience in a discipline related to construction Site Audit experience preferred Solar installation experience is preferred Valid drivers license Clean drivers abstract Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents, plans and written and verbal communication skills required to prepare site audit documents and conduct site audit meetings with customers Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, as well as lift 50+ pounds on occasion Must be able to travel to different offices if needed Must be able to work different schedules that involve Mondays- to Saturdays Must be able to operate a Drone Must be able to follow all safety procedures required by the company. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Must be fluent in English Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and emails Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Education & Experience Requirements:

Must have a minimum of a High School Degree Previous Solar experience is a preferred but not required Ability to adapt and work in an open, fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment Attention to detail and good organizational skills
