Pioneer Solar & Renewables is growing and we are looking for a •Solar Installation Labourer• to join our team for the upcoming season. About You
The ideal candidate is a motivated go-getter who is comfortable working at heights and able to perform physical work outdoors. You should have strong problem-solving skills, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team. Ultimately, a top-class •Solar Installation Labourer• has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to gain experience in the growing solar energy industry.
The Solar Installation Labourer will be responsible for assisting our experienced crew in all aspects of the solar installation process, from site preparation to panel installation and cleanup. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for the right individual, with potential for growth in a high-demand market.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Assist in the setup and assembly of solar racking systems, inverters, wiring, and other components as directed.
• Install mounting systems and structural supports for rooftop solar energy systems.
• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
• Perform re-roofs, roof repairs, drywall repairs as needed
• Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
• Perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment, materials, and tools, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
• Work on roofs, ladders, crawlspaces, attics, and other residential and commercial areas.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet project deadlines.
• Assist management with documentation of process and task instructions.
• Keep job site, truck, and shop clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•Required:•
• Minimum 1-2 years of construction experience in roofing
• Comfortable working at heights
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work outdoors
• Safety-oriented team player
• Class 5 driver's license

• Interest in renewable energy and joining a growing industry
• Fall protection and safety training certifications
