We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team driving Crestview Group's growth across multiple departments, with a specific focus on the solar department as a technical lead and estimator. This role connects strategic development, technical execution, and client relationships -- ensuring the organization maintains market leadership in renewable energy construction, and distributed energy systems. The position balances strategic foresight with hands-on project delivery, bridging client acquisition, estimating, design, and field implementation into one coordinated growth position representing all aspects of Crestview Group's aligned goal of electrical integration for all departments.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Market Development
Identify, secure, and manage business opportunities through direct engagement, tenders, and market intelligence.
Represent Crestview at conferences, industry events, and client presentations to promote brand credibility and technical expertise.
Build strong relationships with key clients, vendors, utilities, and consultants to support ongoing growth.
Monitor market conditions, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to shape proactive business strategies.
Technical Design & Compliance
Participate in estimating & technical review for medium voltage projects.
Participate in design and technical development for commercial rooftop, ground-mount, and utility-scale solar projects.
Provide expert guidance on Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Section 64 and distributed generation standards.
Manage integration of SCADA, protection, and distribution systems for project reliability.
Develop and maintain Crestview's design tool suite, technical documentation, and develop new tools to assist in market performance.
Coordinate technical documentation and applications with utilities, AESO, and AUC for microgeneration and small-scale generation.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and manpower planning.
Conduct on-site visits and provide technical troubleshooting support.
Oversee change management, procurement, and subcontractor coordination. - Develop and implement department-wide SOPs to standardize safety and quality.
Drive development of Crestview's Operations & Maintenance (O&M) solar program for long-term client engagement and recurring revenue.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
CET or P.Eng. designation (or eligibility).
Expertise in: - Canadian Electrical Code, Section 64.
Medium-voltage systems (15kV-35kV).
SCADA and distribution protection systems.
Design-build and EPC project delivery.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, and Helioscope.
