We are seeking Estimating Students for our Solar district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting September 3rd, 2024.
As a Solar Estimating Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Understands and utilizes PCLs estimating manuals, systems and forms
• Reviews quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator
• Performs assigned quantity survey
• Gives quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing
• Transfers quantities to lead estimator
• Performs general subtrade solicitation duties
• Bids document control
• Performs bid day assignments
• Develops relationships with subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
