The Opportunity
We are not looking for a traditional salesperson. We are seeking an
entrepreneurial Solar Sales Advisor
to act as a key ambassador for our brand. This role is for a technical, self-sufficient individual who owns the sales process from initial consultation to closing. You will be the face of our company, educating homeowners and business owners on the financial and environmental benefits of solar, designing tailored system proposals, and building trust through your expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Consultative Selling:
Conduct in-home and virtual consultations, performing detailed site assessments to evaluate solar potential (roof condition, shading, electrical panel).
System Design & Proposal Generation:
Create compelling, accurate, and customized solar PV system proposals using industry-leading software including detailed financial analysis.
Expert Guidance:
Educate customers on all aspects of solar technology, financing options, government incentives and the long-term value proposition.
Market Knowledge:
Maintain an expert-level understanding of the Ontario energy market, equipment specifications and regulatory changes.
Relationship Building:
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads through a combination of company-provided leads and self-generated opportunities (network, referrals).
Project Handoff:
Work closely with our operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from signed contract to system commissioning.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Must-Haves:
Technical Competence:
Proven ability to understand electrical systems, roofing, and solar PV technology. You can speak confidently about kW vs. kWh, inverters, modules, and system performance.
Sales Experience:
2+ years of experience in a commissioned, B2C or complex sales environment. Direct solar sales experience is a
significant
asset.
Energy Advisor Background (Asset)
Vehicle:
Valid G-class driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel to customer appointments (mileage compensated).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency with CRM software and solar design/proposal tools.
Financial skills to explain ROI, payback periods, and system savings.
Professional, trustworthy, and passionate about sustainability.
