We are seeking a Solar Design Student for our Solar District in Oakville, Ontario that is available for a minimum of 4 months starting in May 2024.

As a Solar Design Student and depending on your assigned project, here\'s how you will contribute to the team:

Responsibilities

Reviews RFP documentation for key design requirements.

Designs, reviews and/or validates solar facility layouts relative to RFP documents using/creating plans, specifications, and other information.

Calculates energy losses for designs.

Prepares/draws detailed site layouts using electrical single line diagrams using AutoCAD.

Supports estimating with quantity takeoffs and preconstruction efforts (e.g. design coordination, constructability review, project planning).

Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues

Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a design function
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel)
