We're looking for a driven and innovative

Software Test Engineering Professional

to join our Production Technologie team. In this pivotal role, you'll develop and deploy automated test software to support production operations in Canada and France. Acting as a bridge between Operations and R&D, you'll contribute to new product introductions, troubleshoot production challenges, and drive improvements in operational efficiency and product quality

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Define and implement test strategies aligned with production goals Design and develop automated test software using TestStand, Python, and .NET, with a focus on structured and reusable code Integrate test systems with ERP/MES platforms to ensure traceability and intuitive user interfaces Collaborate with R&D to align testing requirements and specifications Update and adapt test sequences in response to technical changes and ECNs Optimize test systems to enhance yield and reduce cycle times Support troubleshooting of production stations and contribute to CAPA, 8D, and 5 Whys initiatives Plan and execute system qualification and integration activities Deploy, test, and validate tools in production Ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of software updates in production environments

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electric/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant role (experience in manufacturing or electronics is a plus) Proficiency in TestStand and Java for test automation Strong skills in object-oriented programming (Python, C#, C) Solid understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and communication protocols (UART, MODBUS, Ethernet) Experience in automating production tests for electronic boards and devices Familiarity with Linux and web technologies (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS, REST APIs) Experience developing embedded test software for microcontrollers (STM32) Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines Proficiency in Git and TFS for version control Scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell Hands-on experience with NPI and deploying manufacturing processes/equipment Experience managing engineering changes (ECO) Familiarity with ERP and MES systems Strong organizational and planning abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Adaptability in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Effective communication and interpersonal skills Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills and Experience
