What you'll do

As a Software Quality Assurance Analyst within the Software Development group, you will be responsible for writing and executing (manual and automated) test cases. You will be required to work closely with Developers and projects teams and provide timely feedback that will enhance the quality of our software.

• Creating, modifying and executing software test plans and test cases dealing with complex analytical data
• Coming up with test strategies and test data to support testing across multiple test environments
• Contributing in the design, development and execution of manual and automation scripts
• Identifying opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive testing
• Recording and management of software defects
• Reviewing functional and technical documentation to identify requirements for test plans, test cases and test scripts and provide feedback
• Collaborative attitude with the ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to change
• Maintaining knowledge base document for future reference related to test environment setup and test execution
• Effectively communicate information, both verbally and in writing, to the QA team and project team.

What you bring (Must-have...)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing on the mainframe platform
• Expertise in test plan and test case design
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong testing skills and attention to detail
• Strong background in testing systems in the Z/OS environment, which includes preparing and running test jobs
• Sufficient background in DB2 with the ability to execute simple to complex queries as part of test verifications process
• Basic skills in debugging test exceptions and identifying root-cause.
• Familiarity with change management utilities such as Endevor and Zeke scheduling tool is preferred
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices
• Excellent verbal/written English.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities and multi-task.
