About Ooma Meetings: Ooma Meetings is a video conferencing and collaboration platform that allows users to connect and communicate remotely through video, audio, and chat. Ooma Meetings offers a range of features, including screen sharing, virtual backgrounds, chat messaging, and the ability to schedule and record meetings. It is accessible through web browsers, desktop applications, and mobile apps for both iOS and Android devices.
Summary We are hiring a talented Jitsi Meet Video Developer to design, develop and maintain our video conferencing solution on Jitsi Meet video conferencing platform. The ideal candidate should be passionate about creating high-quality, scalable, and reliable video conferencing solutions that meet the needs of our customers. The candidate should have experience deploying applications to Kubernetes and setting up monitoring for Jitsi Meet platform.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain Ooma Meetings video conferencing solution using the Jitsi Meet platform.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to optimize Jitsi Meet for high-availability, scalability, and security on Kubernetes platform.
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code. Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in video conferencing, real-time communications and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years experience with Jitsi Meet or other WebRTC-based video platforms.
• Experience configuring and deploying Jitsi Meet platform on Kubernetes.
• In depth understanding of real-time communication protocols, such as SIP, XMPP, and WebRTC is a plus.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React (or other frontend frameworks) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
