Position Title: Software Engineer II

External Description:

This Software Engineer role within the Mobile Quality Engineering organization collaborates with QA and Game Development teams to create tools and automation products. These products are designed to improve game development workflows and increase efficiencies in Development and QA processes. You will participate on a team of engineers, focusing on building the best tooling and automation solutions to satisfy partner requirements as planned by your Technical Director. You will report to the Quality Engineering Development Director, who will help you prioritize partner requirements for implementation.

Responsibilities

  • You will build and deploy internal software tools for our Game Development and QA partners.
  • You will collaborate with your team and Technical Director to identify areas for improvement through new tools and automation strategies.
  • You will work with the team to support an increased adoption of automation and tool products within game teams.
  • You will, at a feature level, aid in the identification and requirements gathering for new features.
  • You will help implement debug and telemetry enhancements to aid testing.
  • You will practice code quality and SOLID design principles defined by the team.
  • You will practice and promote use of defined architectural and design patterns for building our tools.
  • You will help promote bug fixing efforts and participate in brainstorming areas of test focus.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years of professional experience with a focus on concepts and language varieties
  • 2+ years of professional experience with .NET, C#, C++ (deep C# experience is an essential requirement for this role).
  • Understand the software development life cycle, software engineering methodologies and practices, and their application to both development and QA.
  • Understand software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes.
  • Web-based systems experience an asset.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience with mobile app development ecosystems (Android and/or iOS).
