The team you will be a part of
As part of Nokia\'s Optical Networking Division within NI, the WaveSuite Network Automation team is building a suite of applications that provides assurance, fulfillment, and analytics for network providers using state-of-the-art design and technologies. We are seeking an experienced software development leader passionate about relationships, quality and velocity to lead our Platform & DevOps team.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of the team, you will:
\xc2\xb7 Lead a team of developers to deliver multiple major platform releases per year including:
Common platform ownership and evolution.
\xc2\xb7 Software lifecycle infrastructure: installation, deployment, & upgrade.
\xc2\xb7 Common frameworks: backup & restore, data migration, geographical redundancy, user management, logging, product licensing, event notification.
\xc2\xb7 Supporting internal / external applications as customers of platform services.
\xc2\xb7 Overall WaveSuite vulnerability assessment & resolution of relevant platform issues
DevOps implementation & maintenance.
\xc2\xb7 Implement Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery processes for platform and application development teams.
\xc2\xb7 Pipeline Infrastructure: build, analysis, deployment, test, and publishing.
\xc2\xb7 Test & security scan automation and Server resource management.
\xc2\xb7 Software Control Management including versioning strategy, implementation, and stream management.
\xc2\xb7 Manage team performance (set/track goals, coach, motivate, evaluate, reward, recruit).
\xc2\xb7 Establish process improvements based on lessons learned, continually seeking opportunities to improve product quality and development velocity.
Your skills and experience
You have :
\xc2\xb7 A degree in Computer Science or Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a people leadership role.
\xc2\xb7 Coaching skills to guide developers in coding, debugging, problem solving, and algorithm design, with a commitment to helping others succeed.
\xc2\xb7 Success with agile development in a scrum team model.
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of modern application technologies, such as: Java, Spring, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, REST, Kafka, databases (relational, graph, & time-series).
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of modern DevOps toolchain technologies including: Jenkins, BitBucket, Git, Artifactory, Sonar, RHEL.
\xc2\xb7 Experience deploying, running, and troubleshooting cloud-native platforms/applications in architectures such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
It would be nice if you also had:
\xc2\xb7 Experience delivering software applications to telecommunications customers
\xc2\xb7 Experience in Optical Networking (DWDM, OTN)
\xc2\xb7 Experience with KeyCloak, MariaDB, Neo4j, etcd, and LogStash
