The successful candidate will build upon core program management successes and develop breadth across a range of problem domains.

Key job responsibilities

  • Designing and developing software products that impact many areas of our business
  • Clarifiy requirements, create software designs, and implement code to these specifications
  • Provide thorough unit and integration testing, and support products while deployed and used by our stakeholders
A day in the life
With our team you'll get the opportunity to own major deliverables building out our applications. You'll work with customers to scope, design, implement, test, and launch new features. You'll be able to enjoy innovation, simplify complex problems and tackle tough challenges. Our team is continuing to grow and we need to a reexamine our existing architecture and define a bold vision for the next phase of scaling and complexity. We're looking for you to help define and drive that vision.

About the team
DSP Core Tech makes infrastructure investments to scale out ad campaign and creative management with a focus on infrastructure services and development processes to accelerate delivery. Our customers are internal developers building features in the DSP, a web-based order management system for programmatic ad campaigns. Advertisers create and execute campaigns by entering when to run a campaign, setting targeting criteria to find the right audience, setting bid prices, selecting whether to optimize for clicks, sales, or other metrics, and more. Advertisers interact directly through our website or programmatic APIs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 12+ months of professional experience in software development
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
  • Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
  • Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability
  • Experience with UI frameworks such as Spring MVC, GWT, jQuery, Swing, etc.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Coding skills in Java and/or C++ coupled with strong base in object-oriented design and development
  • Experience in software development and full product life-cycles
