Torq IT are an innovative, experienced and nimble team of experts who strive to deliver quality software solutions on time and on budget.Role Description:As the software development team lead for our Northern Software Systems division, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers and overseeing the full lifecycle of software development projects for various Northern and Indigenous government clients across Canada. You will work closely with clients, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the solutions we deliver meet the needs and expectations of our clients and adhere to best practices and standards.Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients regularly to ensure that technical solutions meet client expectations. Maintain relationships with clients serving as their primary regular contact with Torq. Gain awareness of other initiatives Torq can support clients with.
• Collaborate with other leads and architects to design robust solutions that meet client requirements and technical standards. Understand infrastructure, integration and data security.
• Ensure projects stay on time and budget. Project budgets will range from $30K-$250K.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to juniors, and collaborate between teams to share learning.
• You must have experience developing requirements, reviewing code, and have a fundamental understanding of web development. You must be willing to participate actively in the development process.

Your Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in delivering software applications
• 3+ years of experience leading development projects or teams
• Experience managing client expectations and deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, to communicate effectively with teammates, technical clients, and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working with sensitive data
• Experience and understanding of Project Management and Business Analysis
• Have in your career worked as a software developer on web or intranet applications
• Experience working with Indigenous organizations or in Indigenous communities
• Experience with modern cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, etc)
• A history of self-driven learning and improvement
• Sales or client management experience
