Summary
The Case Manager is responsible for individual and guidance counseling services for women for the purposes of life skills acquisition and the development of personal well-being. He or she will undertake the planning, development and implementation of support services. The Employment Case Manager also provides guidance and resources for social and community support services in an effort to achieve this goal. This role further requires the Case Manager to assess and interview clients, record accurate and detailed case notes and develop and maintain sustainable relationships with other professionals in the community. Other duties will include, but are not limited to, attending regular staff and other meetings, involvement in individual planning for women, attending ongoing professional training workshops and continuing education. The Employment Case Manger may work out of the office and attend appointments with the clients according to their employment plan. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Job Duties
l Assists and provides guidance with individual counseling sessions.
l Plan, develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate the delivery of Support services to women.
l Direct women to available social services and resources within the community to assist with the resolution of social and personal programs.
l Deliver programs that promote healthy lifestyles and relationships for women.
l Assist in the coordination of community development and educational services.
l Provide a safe, nurturing environment for women in domestic violence.
l Document daily activities, and maintain accurate and detailed case notes and records, assist with month end reports
l Attend regular staff meetings.
l Act as an advocate for client groups within the community, and maintain sustainable working relationships with community agencies, law enforcement and courts.
l Attend workshops, career development and continuing education opportunities to maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of issues that affect the position and affected women
l Respect and protect the rights of clients, including but not limited to their right to independence, autonomy, and self-determination; their right to choose and practice individual values, beliefs, religion, and culture; their right to privacy and dignity; and their right to live free from retaliation, discrimination, and abuse.
l Promote and encourage each client to maintain an optimum level of health, well-being and self-esteem.
l Maintain and model appropriate personal boundaries with clients, and refrain from involvement with client personal affairs or other business that may constitute a conflict of interest.
l Support clients with problem solving, compatibility, and conflict resolution.
l Assist with the health, safety and personal care requirements of each client.
l Maintain working knowledge of safe body mechanic techniques, and utilize this knowledge while performing all duties.
l Understand and use principles of good hygiene and universal precautions in all aspects of the job.
l Take responsibility for personal health and safety and wear appropriate clothing, footwear, and personal protective gear while on duty.
l Maintain current knowledge and practice of all relevant plans, policies and procedures as established by the company.
l Maintain knowledge of external regulatory bodies governing the company.
l Maintain current credentials as required for employment.
l Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
l University or College degree or Diploma in Human Services field preferred.
l Experience working with women in domestic violence is an asset
l Valid Driver's License.
l A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
l High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
l Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
l Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail required.
l Politically and culturally sensitive.
l High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
l Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

Work Conditions
l Interacts with clients, community services, government agencies/personnel under all circumstances, which may be traumatic situations.
l Travel may be required.
l Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
