The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a Social Worker 2 for a full-time, temporary (until October 16, 2026) in the Problem Gambling Service and Technology Use. Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will provide assessment and treatment for those affected by problem gambling or other related behavioural addictions such as problematic use of interactive technology. You will provide support and service to those engaging in gambling and other behaviour addictions as well as to family members. The position involves group facilitation, individual assessments, treatment planning and some case management both in person and on-line. You will ensure that care is coordinated where multiple services are involved and provide consultation about specialized gambling, gaming and tech use treatment approaches. You will be able to work with clients from diverse populations; contribute to program development; provide education support and supervision to students and participate in the research activities of the program. Candidates must be capable of providing supervision of Masters of Social Work students, collaborating with faculties of social work on special projects related to the development of the social work field, contributing to the development of best practices unique to the social work field and also teaching to other professionals. Supporting continuous quality improvement is required. Workload data entry is a job requirement. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. Other related duties as assigned. The successful candidate will possess a Master's of Social Work degree combined with a preferred 3 years of post-graduate work experience and be registered and a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. You must be eligible for an adjunct faculty appointment with the faculties of social work that has affiliation agreements with CAMH. At least one full year's experience specifically in the field of addictions and/or problem gambling is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively (verbal and written) are required. Demonstrated ability, knowledge and skills in addictions, concurrent disorders, group work, clinical assessment and treatment, harm reduction and brief treatment are required, as is knowledge exchange skills and knowledge of community resources. In addition, you possess fundamental knowledge and application of the recovery model and other current best practices. The ability to provide culturally competent service to clients of diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds is essential. Additionally, knowledge of and experience with word-processing packages and basic computer operations is required. Knowledge of and experience with computerized client information databases would be an asset. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
