Job Overview

Clifford Wuttunee School on Red Pheasant Cree Nation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our school personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and possess the skills necessary to provide effective support and advocacy for staff, students, and their families.

Duties

Work closely with students and staff to support the mental health of everyone at the school. Work closely with high school students from RPCN and identify the supports needed for their varying needs, ensuring they have access to these supports. Collaborate with Principal and other staff members to support the greater good of the school. Work closely with special education teams to support children with unique needs.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting is essential. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Proficiency in data collection methods and research techniques related to social work. Ability to counsel from school aged children up to and including adults. Knowledge of Cognitive Behavior Therapy an asset. Understanding of special education processes and resources available for children with disabilities. Well organized and committed, energized and effective. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
