Your Opportunity:

PLC mental health team is a group of dynamic multidisciplinary teams that work together to ensure our patients have the best care and experience. Our site runs six Addictions and Mental Health programs (two General psyche units, Day hospital, Psyche ED, Consultation Liaison and the specialty Mental Health Short Stay Unit (SSU). The SSU operates on a 72-hours crises stabilization and multidisciplinary type model serving most of our marginalized population within the zone. Unit 27 and 25 are the acute care general Psych unit.

Description:

As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor\'s degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). Additional Required Qualifications:

4 months of Addiction and Mental Health experience within the last 3 years. Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) preferred. Social Worker experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Knowledge of the Addiction and Mental Health related resources across the Calgary Zone preferred. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
