Your Opportunity:Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved triaging referrals and in the provision of Social Work services to children and families. Services include psychosocial assessment, coaching and intervention, education, advocacy and resource finding. The Social Worker may also support families with wayfinding and referrals to other programs and agencies. The successful candidate will display empathy and recognize the unique views, perceptions and experiences of clients and families as a foundation for building strong relationships. Active listening skills will support you in establishing trust with clients and colleagues and you will be able to adjust approach to communicate effectively with those from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Strong cultural competence and indigenous awareness is essential. You will be highly organized, demonstrate excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills and show professional commitment to learning and growth.Description:As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Required Qualifications:Completion of bachelor\'s degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of one year experience working with Pediatric population. Trauma Informed Care Training. Working knowledge of Access Mental Health, Persons with Developmental Disabilities and funded service providers. Knowledge of the Office of the Public Guardian/Trustee program. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Preferred Qualifications:Pediatric social work experience in a rehabilitation or community-based setting. Use of Meditech or another electronic medical record for direct patient documentation.
