This Social Work position will work with acute care patients/families, in the hospital or outpatient setting. This position works with an Interdisciplinary team of professionals to support patients and the families, as they navigate the healthcare system.

Preference will be given to candidates with medical social work experience

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to advocate on behalf of clients, caregivers /extended family members. Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming Ability to work independently Skilled in psycho-social assessment and the ability to work with individuals

Other Information

Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
