Our Foster Care Program in central Alberta is seeking a
Full Time Permanent Lead Practice Specialist (Program Supervisor)
This position will be overseeing the Foster Care Program in Central Region. The successful candidate will report to the SPS of Foster Care and be located at the Central Administration office in Innisfail. There is no agency vehicle provided with this position.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Preferred degree in Human Services and 2+ years of supervisory experience, or a diploma and 5+ years of supervisory experience. Consideration will be given to applicants currently enrolled in a degree program or looking to further their education.
Experience in working with multiple partners and funding sources.
Experience in working with Child and Family Services and Delegated First Nations Authorities.
Strong interpersonal skills, program planning and administrative abilities.
Basic First Aid Level C with Adult, Child, and infant CPR & AED.
Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training.
Intervention Record Check & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector.
Class 5 driver's license, clean drivers abstract, reliable personal vehicle for travel to multiple sites in central Alberta as well as occasional client transportation.
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Has a clear understanding of the program goals, outcomes, and contractual obligations.
Develop and effectively manage program timelines to ensure the completion of program objectives.
Knowledge and adherence to quality improvement processes and Accreditation Standards (CARF).
Onboarding new employees.
Critical incident management.
Provide supervision, coaching and development to staff.
Knowledge and awareness of program budget and fiscal responsibilities.
Complete timely reporting based on organizational and contractual requirements.
Wage Range:
$36.02 - $37.64 per hour, wage to be negotiated based on education and directly related experience.
