Purpose of the Role:
The Social Media Specialist supports the execution of the firm's social media content and campaigns--helping to build brand equity, showcase thought leadership, and engage our audience of affluent investors, business owners, and professional advisors. This role focuses on bringing our brand voice to life across social channels through content scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and compliance to ensure timely, high-quality, and brand-aligned execution.

Core Responsibilities:
Content Execution & Scheduling
Coordinate, schedule, and publish approved content across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant channels using social media management tools.
Collaborate with content, brand, and design teams to source, adapt, and format creative assets for each platform.
Ensure all posts reflect the firm's tone, values, and compliance requirements.
Work with the Marketing Communications team to adapt broader campaign content into social-friendly formats.
Working with the Director, Brand Management & Advertising contribute to the development of the overarching Social Media strategy
Community Engagement
Monitor brand mentions, comments, and direct messages daily; respond or escalate according to established guidelines.
Flag relevant conversations or trends to the Social Media Manager and Marketing Communications team.
Support employee advocacy initiatives by preparing ready-to-share posts for internal leaders and staff.
Collaboration & Coordination
Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., Private Wealth, Philanthropy, Recruitment, Compliance) to gather content, updates, and approvals.
Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and video producers on social asset delivery and campaign execution.
Maintain an up-to-date social content calendar at least two weeks in advance, aligned with firm-wide marketing campaigns.
Reporting & Optimization
Track and report on basic social KPIs (engagement, reach, follower growth, clicks) for monthly reporting packages.
Support A/B testing by posting variations and documenting results.
Share insights and recommendations for optimization with the Social Media Manager.
Compliance & Governance
Submit all social content for compliance review and maintain records of approvals.
Ensure all social content meets regulatory and brand guidelines before publishing.
The Marketing team uses an omnichannel approach--you may be asked to support in other marketing disciplines as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
2-4 years of hands-on social media execution experience, ideally within financial services, luxury brands, or other sectors serving affluent audiences.
Completion of a post-secondary program in marketing, communications, or related discipline preferred.
Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, native platform analytics).
Strong copywriting and basic visual editing skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).
Experience working with compliance processes in a regulated industry is an asset.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.

Compensation & Benefits Package:
This position comes with a base salary range of
$60,000 - $80,000
plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
