Job Overview We are seeking a talented Social Media Manager to develop and execute our social media strategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital marketing, skilled in content creation, and eager to showcase the unique value of Gopher-it Deliveries to our audience. This role will involve managing our social media platforms, creating engaging content, and building our online community to drive brand awareness and customer engagement. Responsibilities Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase brand visibility and engagement across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.). Create, curate, and schedule high-quality content, including posts, stories, videos, and graphics, that align with our brand voice and values. Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our audience to foster community growth. Analyze social media performance using analytics tools and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations. Collaborate with the team to promote special offers, services, and events. Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep our content fresh and relevant. Manage paid social media campaigns, if applicable, to maximize reach and ROI. Qualifications Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in a small business or startup environment. Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.). Excellent content creation skills, including writing, graphic design, and basic video editing (tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar). Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with our audience and represent our brand. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with the Ottawa community and local market is a plus.
