Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Social Media Manager to oversee our social media platforms. Your duties will include creating original text and video content, managing posts, and engaging with followers. You will be responsible for maintaining our company's image in a consistent manner to meet our marketing objectives. As a Social Media Manager, you should stay current with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to creatively convey our company's perspectives. Ultimately, you will manage our social media presence to ensure high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

What You'll Do

Social Media Strategy & Management



Own and execute the social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms. Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with brand campaigns, events, and cultural moments. Monitor social trends and platform updates to keep content fresh and relevant. Track analytics and performance metrics; regularly report insights and adapt strategy based on data.

Content Creation & Production



Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality, engaging short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes, day-in-the-life, etc.). Design compelling graphics using Canva or Adobe Suite to support brand messaging. Capture photo and video content at events, venues, and activations. Script and storyboard creative concepts that align with brand voice and marketing goals. Curate and repurpose user-generated content (UGC) to foster community and authenticity.

Community Engagement



Actively manage engagement by responding to comments, DMs, and tagged content. Build relationships with followers and influencers to grow brand reach. Monitor and protect the brand's online reputation in real time.

Collaboration & Brand Alignment



Work closely with the marketing team to align content with campaign objectives. Collaborate with designers, photographers, and event producers to execute cohesive storytelling. Ensure a consistent tone, voice, and aesthetic across all content.

Qualifications (Work Experience / Education / Certifications)



Minimum of 2 years of social media management experience Previous experience working on multiple consumer brands Record of compelling content creation

Knowledge



Understanding of "brand voice" for various audiences Knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok best practices and conventions Understanding of social media KPIs Proficiency with Canva, Capcut/Inshot (Adobe Suite knowledge is a plus) Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing trends (plus) Experience in restaurant, nightlife, or other hospitality business will be an asset Knowledge of wide variety of music genres (with a focus on afro and latin house, hip-hop)
