The Social Media Engagement Specialist is a full-time position responsible for content development, marketing, and monitoring on CIGI\'s social media channels in close collaboration with members of the Public Affairs team. Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs, the Specialist is a self-starter with strong writing and organizational skills, and a strategic thinker adept at crafting content and ad campaigns that will inform, engage, and influence their target audience. RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage CIGI\xe2\x80\x99s social media presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube
Create engaging, relevant, and timely content in a variety of media, including Twitter Spaces and livestreamed events
Design and deliver social media campaigns, organic and paid, to engage specific target audiences
Set and implement social media strategies aimed at growing CIGI\xe2\x80\x99s digital presence and brand
Analyze the impact of campaigns, and provide metrics reporting to inform future activities
Monitor CIGI\xe2\x80\x99s brand and reputation on social media
Develop and implement internal policies and procedures related to social media
Educate staff and fellows on these guidelines as well as best practices for social media
Research opportunities for new social marketing platforms, and keep abreast of trends and applications to engage with audiences
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Affairs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective tools
Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with a meticulous approach to detail
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Passion for creating engaging content and knowledge of emerging digital trends
Willingness to work collaboratively as a team or run a task independently, as appropriate
Ability to monitor and analyze a wide range of analytics and apply learnings
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Three or more years of experience maintaining an organizational, or corporate, social account
Proven expertise running successful paid advertising campaigns on social media
Proficiency with Google Analytics and AdWords is also considered an asset
