$21/hour gross (paid bi-weekly, less statutory deductions)

We are currently seeking a Social Media Coordinator Intern for a 12-week internship in Toronto, with a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement.

Reporting to the Director, Digital and Delivery, you will help manage CFIB's presence across platforms like Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You will assist in content creation, post scheduling, trend monitoring, and performance reporting.



Responsibilities:



Support the execution of CFIB's social media strategy across multiple channels Create, schedule, and publish engaging content including posts, graphics, stories, and short-form videos Contribute creative ideas for social campaigns, contests, and audience engagement Maintain the social media content calendar, ensuring alignment with campaigns, webinars, partnerships, and seasonal themes Monitor trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to keep CFIB's content fresh and relevant Assist in creating visuals using design tools like Canva or Adobe Track key metrics using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Meta Insights) and report on performance Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging Stay up to date on CFIB's initiatives, policies, and campaigns to reflect them accurately in content

What makes a successful Social Media Coordinator Intern?

Enrolled in a post-secondary program in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, or a related field Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills Experience using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube) Basic familiarity with design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, InShot) Interest in analytics and performance tracking tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, or Hootsuite Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative environment Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset Experience with social media ads (Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn ads), SEO, and hashtag strategies is a bonus
