Position Summary
The Social Media & IT Intern - E-Commerce & Digital Communications will support the Executive Programs (EP) department in enhancing digital visibility, managing social platforms, supporting e-commerce integration, and ensuring functional web design. The role includes activating Casa Foundation's EP sales channels (WEEX, BAMP, BOSS) to drive daily online sales and inflows of revenue through digital marketing, SEO strategies, and e-commerce platforms.
This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates in Software Engineering, IT, E-commerce, or Digital Media who seek hands-on experience in an innovation-driven, nonprofit environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. E-Commerce Sales & Digital Revenue Activation
Activate and maintain Casa Foundation's presence across online sales channels (e.g., WEEX, BAMP, BOSS) to enable daily transactions.
Ensure all product revenues flow directly into Casa Foundation accounts.
Create and update product listings with accurate descriptions, pricing, and visuals.
Monitor and manage online orders, shipping updates, and return processes.
Optimize product visibility and sales through SEO, ads, and targeted promotions.
2. Website Management & Design
Design, maintain, and update Casa Foundation's websites and related pages for usability and mobile responsiveness.
Implement and manage e-commerce functionalities, including payment systems, service bookings, and digital sales tools.
Upload banners, content, service updates, and event announcements regularly.
Support troubleshooting and continuous UX/UI improvements across web platforms.
3. Social Media & Digital Marketing
Create, schedule, and post digital content (graphics, videos, posts) for Casa Foundation programs on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (Twitter).
Collaborate with the marketing team to align campaigns with product launches and outreach strategies.
Design landing pages, promotional flyers, and campaign banners.
Generate leads through funnel creation, CTA optimization, and A/B testing.
Maintain and update Casa Foundation's CRM with leads generated via digital platforms.
4. SEO & Analytics
Conduct regular SEO audits and implement on-page/off-page SEO strategies (keywords, tags, backlinks).
Track website and campaign performance via Google Analytics and recommend optimization actions.
Analyze traffic, user behavior, and sales trends to improve conversion rates and digital performance.
Provide regular reports and insights for the Communications Lead and EP team.
5. Customer Support & Engagement
Respond to inquiries on digital platforms and resolve user issues related to product listings, orders, and digital services.
Contribute to community engagement efforts across Casa Foundation's online platforms and user touchpoints.
Qualifications
Enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program in Software Engineering, IT, Digital Marketing, or E-commerce.
Knowledge of front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; React is an asset).
Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix).
Familiarity with e-commerce tools like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Square.
Understanding of social media management, SEO, and web analytics tools.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
