We invite you to see what the power of belonging can do for you, your career and your community.The Opportunity:As a Social Media and Community Engagement Coordinator, you will use your tech-savvy, creativity, and passion to make a positive impact on our community impact through social media.Responsibilities:

  • Engage with followers, respond to messages, and build a supportive online community.
  • Create and schedule posts showcasing YMCA\xe2\x80\x99s programs and values.
  • Share compelling stories and capture events through mobile photography.
  • Highlight the impact of our members, volunteers, Newcomer and community.
  • Analyze social media performance and optimize engagement strategies.
  • Promote and support YMCA events and programs online.
  • Attend events to capture and share content.
  • Perform various admin tasks
  • Update the website with event info.
  • Compile and send newsletters using pre-designed templates.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: High school graduate.
  • Experience: Basic social media management (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Technical Skills: Experience using Canva;
  • Photography: mobile photography experience
  • Organization: Strong multitasking and deadline management skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative and independent work capabilities.
  • Flexibility: Available for occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Ability to drive to our various sites is an asset
  • Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check.
