Our communications and social media coordinator will be responsible to the development, design, marketing and management of the company\xe2\x80\x99s social media platforms, currently Facebook and Instagram, and communication platforms (e.g. MailChimp). The candidate must have experience and knowledge in early learning and child care. This team will communicate regularly with the IMECC team about their needs for campaigns and ensure that a social media schedule is followed that will be beneficial to the onboarding and communication with existing and potential clients through social media platforms. Schedules, topics and design will be discussed with the IMECC team. The candidate is expected to follow all company protocols and policies for professional practices with social media. IMECC will provide the candidate with requested materials and access to required programs to allow them to design and manage IMECCs social media accounts. Duties:
\xc2\xb7 Perform research and monitor up and coming social media platforms, current benchmark trends and audience preferences \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with IMECC team to ensure brand consistency \xc2\xb7 Create and schedule relevant content for all brands, and ensure a consistent voice/brand \xc2\xb7 Respond and engage with followers on all social media platforms \xc2\xb7 Introduce and implement strategies for increasing brand awareness and post engagement across all social media platforms \xc2\xb7 Oversee design and strategy of social media accounts (images, video and written) \xc2\xb7 Design, create and manage promotions and social ad champaigns \xc2\xb7 Build fans and followers \xc2\xb7 Increase reach and boost engagement on social media platforms \xc2\xb7 Implement a content calendar to manage social media content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns \xc2\xb7 Create a regular publishing schedule and promote content through social media advertising Skills:
- MUST have experience and knowledge of early learning and child care best practices
- Knowledge of Alberta Early Learnign and Child Care Frmaework; Flight
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebookand Instagram
- Proficient in using social media management tools such as Canva and Mailchimp
- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative content ideas
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Basic graphic design skills are a plus Job Types: Casual, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 \xe2\x80\x93 10 per week Supplemental pay types:
  • Bonus pay
Experience:
  • Early childhood education: 5 years (preferred)
  • Marketing: 1 year (preferred)
