The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to the operations and maintenance groups regarding existing facilities optimizations, modifications and managing/executing the Management of Change process. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Calgary based engineering teams and the field-based development, operations, engineering & maintenance teams in the execution of capital projects.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and execute the management of change initiation

Lead facilities optimization activities including debottlenecking, modifications, rationalizing of consolidations, scoping of projects and other potential operating cost reduction initiatives.

Liaise with Calgary based facilities engineers and field-based development teams in the project scoping, design and project management of various gas and oil field related facilities.
/lili
Identify facility/pipeline requirements for current and future capital development, utilizing process/pipeline simulation software where applicable

Participate in annual budgeting process and efficient execution of annual budget capital.
/lili
Provide technical support to facility construction supervisors (FCS) ensuring that fit for purpose designs are constructed and engineering design requirements are met.

Provide technical support/guidance to the regulatory group ensuring that facilities and infrastructure is compliant and provide recommendations on non-compliant facilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or nationally accredited 2 year Engineering Technology diploma
/lili
10 years of relevant experience is required.
/lili
Experience in both oil and gas field operations and maintenance would be an asset.
/lili
Experience in the Canadian upstream oil and gas industry including capital project planning and execution would be an asset.
/lili
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in: Microsoft Office applications and Bluebeam.
/lili
Clean driving record with experience driving in rural environments and in inclement conditions.
