This role will be critical within the Developments Team, as well as the Atlantic Region. The role requires an engineer with experience in subsea tieback planning and / or execution, as well as experience in the stage gate delivery process.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:Identification of opportunities and development of strategies to deliver value to Cenovus.Leverage experience and expertise to develop solutions through analytical and critical thinking; Solutions to reflect broader implications on other processes and functions.Deliver developments and special projects through project delivery stages 1, 2, and 3.Identify and develop scopes of work for contractor studies to support potential developments and/or special projects and manage the delivery of the studies.Reviewing work carried out by external engineering contractors, and providing quality assurance through peer, design, and value assurance reviews.Preparing and contributing to presentation materials to illustrate and communicate study and evaluation results.Contributing to contracting strategy and bid process associated with Feasibility, Concept Selection, Pre-FEED and FEED level study work scopes. Includes involvement in preparation of Expression of Interest (EOI) and Invitation to Bid (ITB) documentation, bid evaluation and award.Utilize and champion the application of Cenovus\xe2\x80\x99 Project Stage Gate ProcessImplement improved processes where gaps are identified and apply previous project learnings to new projects.Provide technical support to the Atlantic Region, and other Business Units within CenovusProvide technical assurance (facilitator and/or reviewer) to other projects.Balance priorities while handling multiple projects.Mentoring of othersWho you are:A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering is a mandatory requirement. Project Management training is an asset.Experience with the stage gate process used to complete oil and gas projects.8+ years of oil and gas experience; preference for experience in subsea tieback planning and / or execution.Experience in preparation of scopes of work and management of contractor resources.Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to liaise effectively with senior leaders.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as presentation skills, enabling the conveyance of detailed information to various audiences.The capability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with individuals from various disciplines.
