Team Leader

to help manage on-site snow operations in the Richmond area.

Position Summary



As the

Snow Removal Team Leader

, you will oversee a team of snow removal workers and ensure timely, safe, and effective clearing of snow and ice from client properties. You will be responsible for coordinating staff, operating equipment, maintaining safety standards, and acting as the main point of contact during on-call shifts.

This is an

on-call, seasonal role

ideal for candidates with strong leadership skills, operational experience, and the ability to work outdoors in demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and supervise a team of snow removal workers at designated client locations. Coordinate and delegate snow clearing tasks (sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, walkways, etc.). Operate and instruct others on use of snow removal equipment (shovels, snow blowers, plows). Apply salt, sand, or de-icing products as needed to ensure safety. Conduct pre-shift safety checks and ensure all work is completed to company standards. Communicate with management and clients regarding site conditions and task completion. Maintain and report equipment functionality; arrange for repairs when necessary. Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and wear proper gear. Be available for short-notice deployment during snowfall or icy conditions.

Requirements & Qualifications



Valid BC driver's license

and

reliable vehicle

(mandatory). Prior

experience in snow removal

or outdoor maintenance (minimum 1 season preferred). Proven

leadership or supervisory experience

, ideally in field operations. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physically fit and capable of working in extreme winter conditions. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of proper equipment use and safety protocols.
