Overview

We are seeking to hire a dedicated and skilled team for snow removal. Some responsibilities of a snow shoveler include:

Clearing snow

: Use shovels, snow blowers, or vehicles with plows to clear snow from designated areas

De-icing

: Spread salt or other de-icing materials to clear ice from roads and walkways

Responding to snowfalls

: Respond promptly to snowfalls to ensure timely service

Working in various weather conditions

: Work in various weather conditions to get the job done

Maintaining equipment

: Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment

Maintaining work area

: Maintain a clean and organized work area

Working flexible hours

: Be able to work flexible hours during winter storms, including nights and weekends as necessary

Responsibilities

Operate snow plow vehicles and equipment to clear snow from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas. Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including checks on fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall functionality. Utilize hand tools and power tools for minor repairs and adjustments as needed. Follow safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others while operating machinery in adverse weather conditions. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts and report any issues with equipment or conditions.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks. Ability to perform repairs as necessary during non-winter months. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all tasks performed. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in varying weather conditions.
