Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to efficiently clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter months. The ideal candidate will have experience operating snow removal equipment and possess a strong understanding of safety protocols. This role is essential for maintaining safe access to facilities and ensuring smooth operations during inclement weather conditions. Candidates with knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or construction-related maintenance are encouraged to apply, as mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Operate snow plow trucks and related machinery to remove snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance. Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. Assist with other maintenance tasks such as irrigation system adjustments or landscaping work during off-season periods. Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during snow removal operations. Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure timely completion of snow clearing activities. Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment used, and any issues encountered during shifts.

Qualifications

Prior experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is preferred. Strong understanding of safety standards related to snow removal and equipment operation. Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Ability to work independently or as part of a team during early mornings or overnight shifts when necessary.
