Job Description

Locations of available work: Etobicoke, Pickering, Bowmanville

Responsibilities:
- Operate snow plow equipment to clear parking lots, and other designated areas
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient snow removal
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust plowing techniques as necessary
- Clear snow from sidewalks, entrances, and other walkways using shovels or snow blowers and assist others in work
- Spread salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup using hand tools and truck salter
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on snow plow equipment
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisor

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on various sites for dangerous conditions and ice, 2 nights on 2 nights off.

Requirements:

-Ability to work on call 24/7 for the duration of the winter as well as scheduled shift work
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and clean criminal background check
- Previous experience operating snow plow equipment preferred
- Ability to work in cold and challenging weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and as a team

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
