Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to efficiently manage snow and ice removal during winter months. This role involves operating snow plowing equipment to ensure safe and accessible roads, driveways, and parking lots. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical systems and a strong work ethic to handle challenging winter conditions while maintaining safety standards.

Duties

Operate snow plow trucks and related machinery to clear snow and ice from designated areas Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plow equipment to ensure optimal functioning Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and adjustments as needed Assist with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture tasks during off-season periods to support landscape maintenance projects Support construction or irrigation projects by utilizing appropriate tools and techniques when required Maintain safety protocols during operation, including proper use of safety gear and adherence to safety guidelines Keep detailed records of work completed and report any equipment issues or hazards promptly

Qualifications

Prior experience operating excavators, snow plows, or similar heavy machinery is preferred Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or irrigation systems is a plus Mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance are highly desirable Strong understanding of construction practices related to outdoor maintenance projects Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and operating machinery for long durations Commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of work
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 30 per week
