Snow Removal Equipment Operator
Job Description
Leahey's is a local company that provides commercial and municipal snow removal. We have snow removal positions for equipment operators.
Snowplow operator positions for HRM sidewalk snow removal in Peninsula Halifax. We are looking for hardworking individuals to join the crew this season. If successful you will be part of the winter operations crew operating sidewalk snow equipment (small loaders with plow blades and salters). Equipment is inclosed and heated. Snowplow operators will be responsible to safely run sidewalk loaders/tractors to clear snow/ice, along a dedicated sidewalk route.
Requirements/skills:
valid drivers license
clean drivers abstract
previous snow removal experience (an asset)
ability to safely run equipment
ability to complete required safety paperwork
working cell phone
communicate well with all staff
weather dependent/ability to work on call (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
We offer competitive hourly pay and winter bonuses.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Casual
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
